BNP Paribas, which has been hiring aggressively as part of a push into the US in the past few months, has promoted Jean-Yves Fillion to head its corporate and investment banking team for North America.

Fillion, who will be based in New York, has been at BNP Paribas for 20 years and was most recently head of the acquisition finance and loan structuring group in the US. He has also worked as co-head of media and telecoms finance for north and south America.
