Jean-Pierre Aguilar, founder of one of France's oldest hedge funds, has died in an accident over the weekend while gliding, a pastime he had enjoyed for many years.

Aguilar, 49, was chief executive of Capital Fund Management, the hedge fund manager he founded in 1991.
