French regulator hires adviser from Morgan Stanley

The Commission des Opérations de Bourse (COB), the French regulator, has hired Christopher Kelly from Morgan Stanley as a special adviser to its chief executive officer, Gérard Rameix.

The position has been newly created for Kelly, who will be part of the COB's senior management team. He will advise the COB on European harmonisation of regulation relating to financial transactions and work closely with other national and international regulators.
