Freshfields names new partners

Law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has named 20 new partners. The new London partners include Doug Smith, who focuses on corporate work, Matthew Bruce, who works on dispute resolution and Ryan Beckwith, Geoff O'Dea and Michael Steele, who work in the finance group. In New York, the new partners include Doug Bacon in the corporate group and Gabrielle Gould, who focuses on dispute resolution. New Hong Kong partners include Charles Ching and Edward Freeman from the corporate group; Mark Parsons who works on intellectual property and IT and Georgia Dawson in dispute resolution. Yannick Piette and Patrick Tardivy are new partners in the Paris corporate group. Vincent Daniel-Mayeur in the Paris tax practice was also promoted. Other European promotions include Tobias Larisch in Düsseldorf, Farid Sigari-Majd in Vienna, Martina de Lind van Wijngaarden and Mario Hüther in Frankfurt and Mandeep Lotay in Amsterdam. Michael Hilton was made a partner in Dubai.
