Friends Ivory & Sime is one of four fund managers appointed by the City of Edinburgh Council's £2bn Lothian pension fund to run mandates with a socially responsible bias.

The other fund managers include Deutsche Asset Management, Phillips & Drew and Edinburgh Fund Managers (EFM). Their mandate wins were determined by their stance on socially responsible investing, said Lothian.
