Friends Ivory & Sime has won a £36m (€59m) balanced mandate from the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE) pension scheme.

The fund manager is set to apply its responsible engagement overlay (reo) product, developed by its ethics unit, to the mandate. Reo is used to engage in dialogue with the companies in which it invests and to use its trustee shareholder power to influence management actions.
