FSA appoints first derivatives heavyweight

Karin Forseke, the former chief operating officer of derivatives exchange Liffe, has been appointed as a non-executive director of the Financial Services Authority.

Forseke, who is the chief executive of Nordic investment bank Carnegie, is the first derivatives heavyweight to take up a non-executive directorship at the UK regulator.
