FSA to issue domain names for authenticity

Banks and financial institutions could be given special internet addresses to make it easier for consumers to spot online fraudsters, reports the Financial Times.

The Financial Services Authority is considering creating new web addresses for companies it regulates - which should be safer for investors - to make them stand out from the plethora of dot-com and co.uk addresses. They would be able to add fin.uk to their websites instead.
