FTSE 100 loses ground as retailers pull back

How markets are faring: The FTSE 100 index shed 0.1% to 7,408.25, with healthcare, consumer services and oil and gas shares among the decliners. Tech, basic materials and consumer goods shares were modestly higher. On Thursday, the index ended down less than 2 points.
