Several of the City’s top fund groups have greenlit pay rises for their top brass as UK companies redouble their efforts to win senior talent and compete with rivals in the US.

Abrdn and M&G are among the UK-listed asset managers that have awarded executives with salary increases in 2024, despite a challenging year for performance in 2023 with marginal growth in assets under management.
