Fund managers snub BiE survey on SRI attitudes

Socially responsible investment is gaining ground but has a long way to go

A stream of fund management firms, including Amvescap, Old Mutual, Aberdeen Asset Management, Man Group, Singer & Friedlander and St James's Capital, failed to participate in a survey of corporate attitudes towards the environment undertaken by Business in the Environment (BiE).

The annual BiE survey seeks to categorise the attempts of UK companies belonging to the FTSE 100, as well as the FTSE 250. Failure to participate suggests either a bureaucratic lapse or a corporate lack of interest in the subject.
