A group of trade organisations have written a letter to chancellor Rishi Sunak urging the creation of an investment vehicle to support British start-ups, Financial News can reveal.

The letter, which will be sent this week, calls for the creation of a £300m “runway fund” capable of supporting around 600 loss-making companies.
