Funds see red over options

The Local Authority Pension Fund Forum (LAPFF), a £35bn (&euro55.65bn) association of public sector pension funds, is planning to step up protests against over-generous share option schemes for company directors.

The forum, which is being advised by PIRC, a corporate governance specialist, led last week's attack on Carlton's proposed options scheme for its senior executives, because the targets were too low.
