FundsWorld, the online fund supermarket co-founded by mutual fund veteran Michael Lipper, has gone live for the first time in Italy.

Lipper, who founded Lipper Analytical Services in 1973, teamed up with Sonja Kohn, founder and president of Eurovaleur, a New York-based investment bank, to create this pan-European online mutual fund trading platform. Kohn is also a well known face in the Austrian government where she has been an economic adviser for years. Lipper Analytical Services, which analyses 44,000 mutual funds, was sold to Reuters last year.
