Galileo Innovation, a firm which takes early-stage companies from private to public, will float three of its portfolio companies on the UK's Alternative Investment Market on the same day in the hope it will mitigate the risk in a depressed marketplace.
The UK-based firm describes itself as a "business accelerator", identifying and developing embryonic companies with patentable inventions or products, with the intention of listing them when they are sufficiently mature. The three companies, Fluid Conditioning Systems, which develops fluid for engineering systems; Sense-Sonic, a hearing devices developer; and Astek Innovation, a specialist in dental products, are the first flotations for the firm, which was only established a year ago.
