Carol Galley and Stephen Zimmerman, co-heads of Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, have announced their retirement.

Galley and Zimmerman were the moving force behind the growth of Mercury Asset Management through the 1980s and 1990s, after starting their careers there in 1971.
