GAM hires FCA lawyer as compliance head

Swiss fund house GAM has hired a lawyer from the UK's markets regulator to be its first group head of compliance, as asset managers face increased regulatory pressures from home and international forces.

Natalie Baylis will join GAM in June, having worked as chief counsel for markets, wholesale, funds and prudential regulation at the Financial Conduct Authority since 2013.
