Gartmore Capital Strategy fund, the Jersey-based umbrella fund owned by Gartmore Investment Management, has appointed Peter Pearson as its chairman following the retirement of John Chiene.

Pearson has over 30 years of experience in the fund management industry and is currently managing director of Atlantis Investment Management and has been on the Gartmore fund board as a director since 1999. Pearson will continue to serve on the Atlantis board.
