GE Capital faces rejection of Scottish Life bid

Scottish Life is understood to have rejected a takeover bid worth more than £1bn (€1.63bn) from GE Capital following disagreements over the price.

Scottish Life is believed to have felt that a premium to the embedded value of around £800m was too small, and a higher offer from GE or an auction is expected, according to Bloomberg News.
