German digital bank N26 pulls out of UK — blaming Brexit

All UK accounts will be closed on 15 April, because of inability to continue operating under a European banking license

A German banking start-up has pulled out of the UK as a direct result of the country’s departure from the European Union.

N26 will close all UK accounts on 15 April after deciding that the timing and framework of the withdrawal agreement will prevent it from operating in the market using a European banking licence, which it was granted by German regulators in 2016.
