Half-year appreciation in asset value for German growth funds have significantly outstripped those for less volatile investments in spite of stock market turbulence, according to the German association of fund management firms, BVI.

After a sparkling performance at the start of the year, Europe's growth markets have had a turbulent run, fueled by uncertainty surrounding the future profitability of many high-tech companies.
