German utility plans secondary offering

MVV Energie, the municipal utility company in Mannheim, Germany, is planning a potential secondary offering of 10% to 20% of its shares.

Wilfried Schwannecke, investor relations manager of the German utility, said: &quotWe are speaking with the city of Mannheim and we are at a very early stage. The offer could be in October or November and may be aimed at both institutional and retail investors. It is possible that the deal will be marketed internationally.&quot
