Germany’s oldest bank doubles down on UK stock research

German bank Berenberg is hiring analysts in London amid plans to double the number of UK stocks it covers this year - a move that comes ahead of new rules that will change the way fund managers pay for market insights.

The bank, which has a history stretching back more than four centuries, has made several appointments to its four-year-old UK mid-cap research team since the start of this year.
