Roy Gillson, chief executive of the fund management operation at the £13bn National Grid Pension Scheme, is to retire at the end of 2010. He leaves after six years in charge of one of the UK's foremost bastions for quality internal asset management at pension funds.
His successor from January 1 will be Paul Sharman, according to a note sent out yesterday by Aerion Fund Management, the National Grid fund's in-house management company.
