Global bond funds outpace equities for second year

Bond markets have outpaced equity counterparts for the second year in succession, according to data from ratings agency Standard & Poor's, the ratings agency.

Median global funds returns jumped from 0.9% to 4.5% in the year ending February 2002. By contrast the median global equities fund slumped by over 21% in sterling.
