Share trading activity dropped by nearly a quarter in the first half of 2016 on the back of a slowdown in Asia and uncertainty in Europe, with analysts warning of continued pressures ahead.

Global equity trading activity dropped 24% to $44.9 trillion in the first six months of the year from $59.2 trillion a year earlier, according to figures published on July 25 by the World Federation of Exchanges.
