Global Innovation Partners starts UK push

Global Innovation Partners, a US-based private equity firm, is set to make its first significant step into the UK with the £93m (€139m) buy-out of Yates, the pub and bar operator.

In a stock exchange statement Yates, which is advised by Close Brothers Corporate Finance, said it was in advanced takeover talks with California-based GI Partners, advised by Cazenove.
