Laurence Smith, global chief investment officer at Credit Suisse Asset Management, has resigned from his position at the firm after four years of service.

Smith joined CSAM from JP Morgan Fleming Asset Management. His role will now be split between three investment chiefs, who will have responsibility for equities, fixed-income and alternative investments respectively.
