Goldman advises Getronics on €224m subsidiary sale

Goldman Sachs has advised Getronics, the Dutch IT firm, on the sale of its subsidiary Getronics Government Solutions to private equity firm GTCR Golder Rauner for €224m ($221m).

Private equity firms expect sales of non-core subsidiaries like this to provide them with an increasingly significant source of dealflow in Europe. Getronics said the disposal "will allow us to focus on our complementary worldwide business, and strengthen our balance sheet by reducing debt and capitalised goodwill".
