Goldman and Lehman continue to struggle in fourth quarter

Goldman Sachs and Lehman Brothers showed further deterioration in their investment banking businesses during the fourth quarter, as they reported year-end results.

Goldman Sachs' advisory and underwriting business fell 28% from the third quarter, with revenues down to $797m (€889m). The bank's total net revenues saw a 12% drop to $2.1bn.
