Goldman appoints economist amid South Korea push

Goldman Sachs has made the latest in a string of hires in Seoul, South Korea, with the appointment of an economist, as the US bank continues its expansion in an emerging market that it predicts will be the world's second richest country on a per capita income basis by 2050.

The US bank has hired Goohoon Kwon, an economist at the International Monetary Fund.
