Goldman Sachs has poached Sonalee Parekh, a telecoms analyst, from the highly-ranked wireline team at Lehman Brothers to bolster its position among the top five European telecoms teams.

Over the past two years, James Golob, head of European telecoms research at Goldman, has vied with Paul Norris, his counterpart at Lehman, for the top prize in the Thomson Extel equity research survey.
