Around 512 key staff at Goldman Sachs’s London office were awarded more than $1 billion collectively in remuneration for their efforts over 2015.

Since relatively recently, banks have a requirement to publish a breakdown of their remuneration policy, as part of the so-called Pillar III disclosure requirements, a Basel Committee on Banking Standards initiative to create greater transparency.
