An Oxford university-backed venture company arm that invests in companies spun out of research carried out by its own departments has hired a former Goldman Sachs managing director.

Oxford Sciences Innovation, which was launched in May, has hired Matt Arnold, who will start in the New Year, according to a spokesman for OSI.
