The Wall Street bank has worked to retain key senior talent with new roles and retention bonuses

Goldman Sachs has promoted its president and chief operating officer, John Waldron, to its board in the latest sign that the Wall Street bank is working to retain key executives as it plans for CEO succession.

Waldron has been appointed to Goldman’s board effective immediately, the bank said in a statement. Accenture chief financial officer, KC McClure, is also set to join the board of the Wall Street bank.
