Golub named interim Lazard chief

Lazard has named Steven Golub, 63, vice-chairman and chairman of the financial advisory group, as interim chief executive, after chairman and chief executive Bruce Wasserstein died last night at the age of 61.

William Tanona, an analyst at Collins Stewart, said in a report yesterday that he expects a sell off on the tragic news.
