Government agrees with Cruickshank on review of Financial Services Act

The UK government has agreed with Don Cruickshank's recommendation to implement a wide-ranging review of the Financial Services and Markets Act in roughly three years' time.

The move by Gordon Brown, Chancellor of the Exchequer, is part of a package of measures to improve competition in the UK banking market following Cruickshank's wide-ranging report on the industry in March this year.
