Graphite takes £35m Hawksmoor stake

The mid-cap UK private equity firm adds the renowned City of London steakhouse to its stable of upmarket restaurants

Graphite Capital has bought a controlling interest in the renowned City of London steakhouse Hawksmoor, a deal that comes as the UK mid-market private equity firm raises its latest buyout fund.

London-based Graphite, which also owns upmarket London restaurants including the Wolseley and the Delaunay, has backed the founders of Hawksmoor in a management buyout of the business.
