Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, the asset management group, has bolstered its US debt market business with the appointment of Fernando Guerrero, formerly of ABN Amro, to lead a newly established structured products team.

Guerrero was most recently global head and founder of the collateralised debt obligation business at ABN Amro.
