Hamilton Lane, the fund of private equity funds manager, is rebuilding its research and due diligence team after amicably parting company with six staffers who left to found their own firm.

Bradley Atkins, until now a principal at Hamilton Lane, has led five of his colleagues in the formation of Franklin Investment Advisors. His new firm, based in Philadelphia, will advise investors on manager selection and performance monitoring.
