Heartwood, the wealth management boutique, has hired a new head of investment communications from larger rival Coutts & Co, its second senior hire in a fortnight.

Giles Peel joins as head of investment communications, a newly created position. Peel will be responsible for communicating investment strategy, portfolio activity, market commentaries and economic views to Heartwood's clients.
