Morgan Stanley appoints for asset management investment banking

US bank brings in top fund management dealmaker who was among a dozen to leave BofAML for Deutsche Bank last year

Morgan Stanley today hired a banker who has worked on some of the biggest deals among fund managers to run investment banking for asset management. He was among a dozen bankers to have defected from Bank of America Merrill Lynch to Deutsche Bank last year in a move that sparked legal proceedings against the German bank.

US-based David Heaton, who was a managing director at Deutsche Bank, is to join Morgan Stanley in August, Bloomberg reports.
