Hedge fund boss Rokos increases headcount by 260%

Hiring spree comes despite 85% profit fall in 2018

Chris Rokos, the secretive hedge fund manager, has more than trebled the headcount at his $9.2bn global macro hedge fund over the past three years, Financial News can reveal.

Rokos, who is worth £775m according to the 2019 Sunday Times Rich List, has increased the number of staff at Rokos Capital Management by 130 since mid-2016. The hedge fund now employs 180 people, with new recruits mainly being added within the credit trading, quantitative analysis and commodities divisions.
