David Harding, the founder of Winton Group, has disclosed that he and his hedge fund company have paid more than £1bn in UK taxes over the past decade.

The 57-year-old chief executive of one of the world’s largest hedge fund firms revealed his tax bill in an attempt to highlight the contribution some financial services companies make to the British economy.
