Hedge fund managers ramped-up new product launches during the second quarter, helping them re-emerge from a lull that saw the lowest number of new products rolled out since the 2008 financial crisis.

Figures from alternatives data consultancy HFR show new hedge fund launches between April and the end of June totalled 129 — the highest quarterly number of new fund launches since the second quarter of 2019.
