Hedge fund manager wants his $9 back

A portfolio manager at a San Francisco-based hedge fund is reportedly in a tussle with a US solar-power company over a $9 (€6.3) taxi fare, after he was turned away from an analyst presentation given by its management.

Andrew Kaplan, who is a portfolio manager at Harvest Capital Strategies, said he was denied entry to the meeting in New York on December 16, after he received and accepted an invitation from the firm's investor-relations consultancy.
