Hedge fund performance measurer critical of FSA plans

Global Fund Analysis, a hedge fund performance measurer, has criticised the Financial Services Authority for suggesting that past performance need not be included in its 2001 Comparative Information Tables.

Simon Hopkins, managing director of Global Fund Analysis, believes that correct interpretation of past returns can help predict future performance and act as a useful indicator. The FSA is instead proposing not to have past performance in its information tables of hedge fund managers next year.
