Helena Morrissey steps down as Newton CEO

One of the most influential women in the City, who has run the £52bn investment manager for the past 15 years, will take on a non-executive role

Helena Morrissey is stepping down as chief executive of £52 billion Newton Investment Management to become its non-executive chairman.

She will be succeeded by Hanneke Smits, former chief investment officer of private equity firm Adams Street Partners, according to a statement on August 12.
