Helena Morrissey, who presided over the controversial departure of the Investment Association chief executive Daniel Godfrey a year ago, is to step down from her role as chair next summer.

Morrissey, whose reputation campaigning for greater female representation in business transcends fund management, will leave the position in summer 2017, three years after having replaced Douglas Ferrans in the role.
