Henderson loses vote for Charter European Trust

Shareholders in the £400m (€650m) Charter European Trust have rejected proposals put forward in January to transfer assets to an investment trust managed by Henderson Global Investors, allowing Dresdner to retain its mandate.

The good turnout at the extraordinary general meeting on Friday meant that more than 70% of votes were cast. Of those, 54% rejected the proposals and 46% were in favour.
